gearing up to change tanzania

the re-cyclin tour

reducing plastic pollution by bike

The Re-cycling tour aims to clean up the streets of Moshi by collecting trash through cycling. A group of cyclists from the One Bike community, using backpacks made from recycled materials, will collect the trash from the streets during the cycling tour. The collected waste will be sent to recycling facilities.

During our monthly Re-Cycling Tour, we unite tourists and locals to cycle around Moshi, collecting plastic bottles for recycling with a backpack sourced from repurposed materials. We also partner with local schools to teach kids about Sustainability 101 and the importance of showing up for the Planet. No part is too small.

the mobility project

EMPOWERing women IN UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES

One Bike Mobility Project is a social impact initiative to improve rural mobility in Tanzania, focusing on marginalized and disadvantaged groups such as women, children, and students.

Through key partnerships, we donate bicycles to all walks of life in the community, including students far from school and people living in remote areas that need a way to get to the hospital.

Through the project, rural women have increased access to essential services, improved their income, and contributed to environmental protection by planting trees in local schools. One Bike Mobility Project is committed to addressing the gender issue in rural mobility, bridging the gap between rural women and girls and the services and opportunities they need to thrive.

ONE BIKE WORKSHOP

growing up the next generation of bikers

Onebike Workshop is a project created by One Bike Tanzania to train youth in bicycle repair and mechanic skills. Started in 2019, the project aims to improve community members' social and economic standards by providing youth opportunities to learn and improve their repair skills and create self-employment in their social settings.

We organize a weekly, in-shop mechanical training program for youth. It’s an opportunity for kids of all ages to develop professional skills, create a stream of income and serve their community. It’s our hope they become bicycle ambassadors within their social circles and spread the One Bike love.

One Bike Tanzania has extended the workshop by training and developing skills for youths who wish to become cycling guides, recognizing the growing cycling industry in Tanzania and neighboring countries. The project is committed to producing qualified mechanics and cycling guides to match the industry's growing needs.
