Overview

Chagga villages are the area under the roof of the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro. The villages composing this area are surrounded by beautiful natural vegetation, some human crop farming activities such banana trees and coffee plantations as well as animal keeping (i.e. cow, goats and other breeds). The Chagga village area is also comprised of different tribes and cultures but the main tribe remains Chagga people followed by Maasai and other indigenous.

Exploring this area will give you a wonderful experience and life time memories especially when cycling will take you off the road, going deeper in villages that cannot be easily reached by car.
