Race and repair is a a cycling event that invites local community members to showcase their bike racing talents and improve their knowlede on bicycle repair and maintanance. It’s an open event that calls for all members of the community to participate regardless of their gender, age or ethnic group.

This race is a platform for the local community members to come together, compete, learn and have fun with their own bicycles. We understand that there are others races which can be a bit difficult for the locals to attend in terms of financial capabilty, logistics and other factors but this one is meant to be as accessible and available and affordable for  the locals.

Inclusive

You'll find people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds coming together, sharing a love for cycling and a commitment to community. It’s not just about speed and competition, it’s about the joy of riding and the empowerment that comes from knowing   how to care for your own bike.

Childrens, adults, men, women and all with the abilty to participate are very much welcome to attend the race and repair event regardeless of their cycling experience or abililty. We also make sure that the route is accessible and safe for the participants.

Started small growing Big!

Well, they say start small with what you have, thats what happened with Race and repair event. The event is growing bigger and gaining popularity recently, we have had people coming from outside Moshi District to attend this event on 2025 edition. So it’s surely gaining  popularity among locals on the Northern region. The purpose is to build a cycling culture and offer free training sessions to build confidence and skills for new cyclists or those who have been away from cycling for a while.

The Future

We believe that we are creating a better future for the local community by engaging and supporting them through cycling. Nurturing local young talent with big potential to become great figure in cycling industry in the future is one of our main goal. Cycling industry is growing up and we believe the local event like Race and Repair is surely a catalyst to speed up the progress and making cycling accessible to everyone.We look forward to make more challenging race route, improve the worshop and repair clinic and also invites local and international partners for the event to continue to grow.
