RACE AND REPAIR 2023 EDITION
INTRODUCING RACE AND REPAIR
Race and repair is a cycling event organized in Kilimanjaro region by One Bike Tanzania, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cycling as a means of transportation and sustainable development in Tanzania, Its one of the unique event which cater for all levels of amateur cyclists with adequate training with a purpose of discovering raw talents that can potentially compete in international levels in the near future.

RACE AND REPAIR 2023 EDITION
The event, held on March 18th, 2023, brought together more than 20 young and energetic amateur cyclists from across Kilimanjaro and nearby region to participate in a challenging race through ‘round-trip route’. The race was designed to test the endurance, pace and skills of the riders, with participants facing steep climbs, treacherous descents, and technical obstacles.

ON SITE REPAIR AND WORKSHOP
The Race and Repair was more than just a competition. As part of the event, One Bike Tanzania also organized a bicycle repair workshop, where participants could learn about bike maintenance and repair from expert technicians.
The repair workshop was a crucial part of the event, as it provided riders with the skills and knowledge they need to keep their bikes in good condition and ensure safe and efficient cycling.
The workshop was a huge success, with common issues such as punctures and gear indexing easily resolved on the spot and also make sure we provide mechanics and spares to handle almost any mechanical eventuality.

The riders faced tough challenges but at the end the best performers were awarded with prizes and trophies and also had a chance to meet new friends and share their passion for cycling.
In addition to the race and repair, the event also featured a cultural program that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the Kilimanjaro region. Participants were treated to traditional music, dance, and providing a unique opportunity to experience the local culture.

In conclusion, the Race and Repair organized by One Bike Tanzania on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro was a unique and inspiring event that brought together cyclists from across Tanzania and beyond. One Bike Tanzania is helping to create a brighter future for all, while also empowering youth and celebrating the beauty of cycling, and the richness of local culture.
