Best MTB Experience We had a great MTB trip through the chagga villages and were so close to community and the people living there as well. The cycling tour was absolutely amazing and well organized. Hillary is s great MTB guide and full of passion for cycling and the kili community. I totally recommend this tour with the onebike team.
I highly recommend One Bike in Moshi! Hillary and his cohorts are really friendly, trustworthy, easy-going, and good-hearted! We rented bikes from them during our stay in Moshi, and went with them to visit Materuni Falls as well as the Chemka Hot Springs (i.e., natural pools, great for swimming) - two beautiful locations not too far from Moshi town. We especially like One Bike because they are committed to supporting their community. They are social enterprises with the intention of donating bikes to healthcare workers, teachers, and students in rural parts of the Moshi district. In addition, the hold a Re-Cycling Tour of Moshi every weekend, where you can join them in picking up plastic bottles, helping to keep the town clean and raise awareness in the community to care for the environment. We had the chance to join in the Tour two times. My kids and I were totally excited to help in this great endeavor. If you get the chance, participate!
We had a 12 days group cycling tour from Kilimanjaro area all the way to Bagamoyo beach in June 2018. Hillary from One Bike Tanzania was our main guide. I can not complement him enough. He is a wonderful and special young person, dedicated to his beautiful country, to cycling and to helping children to realize that they can be a part of better tomorow. Should you wish to experience Tanzania in a unique way, Hillary will be a perfect choice.
One Bike is a small shop that offer a great set of adventures. Kilimanjaro area is wild and green and i spent a great day cycling and visiting the villages from a local point of view. Definitely better than all the other tour operators that just want money. At One Bike you can feel the community
last year we were in Tanzania with 4 50s and made in addition to an overwhelming safari, also a very nice (sometimes tiring, but absolutely to do) three-day bike ride starting in Moshi; led by a fantastic guide Hillary Matemu. This courageous, generous young man started his own business: One Bike Tanzania His vision: "We are environmental lovers, we fight for a sustainable present in order to preserve our planet in the future, one bike at the time" Tanzania is really a beautiful country, and there is so much more to see and do than just those fantastic safaris. So, if you want to look at the country and its inhabitants through a different point of view, then I can strongly recommend this man and his organization. We did the 3 day-s cycling tour West-Kilimanjaro: the bikes, the trip, the accommodations, everything was comfortable and very well organized. And the guide Hillary: the best you can have!
Our group of nine bikers take the first tour from the beautiful Simba farm on the slopes of Kilimandjaro to Masaj village and from there to Moshi. There we made a short excursion to the Materuna waterfall and visited simple coffee production in the local project Kahawa Shamba and visit the College of Wildlife Management. We drive with jeeps through Mkomzi National Park and drove to Tange with jeeps. From there we continued our journey to Pangani and slept along the shore in the beautiful Mike Lodge. We cycle along the coast to Saadani and through the Saadani National Park to Bagamoyo. Thanks to Hillary Matemu for a beautiful bicycle trip around Tanzania.
Best Bike Tour in Kilimanjaro Region! Hillary from One Bike Tours is not only an extremely genuine and passionate person, he’s also the greatest bike tour guide! I absolutely loved our time together riding to TPC. I’m not a cyclist myself, but Hillary made me feel very comfortable and let me set my own pace. He spoke of his dreams of starting this into the company it is now. I am so proud of how far he’s come. He’s transforming the way locals in Moshi see bikes as transportation and he’s actively working towards a more sustainable and active lifestyle for the Kilimanjaro region. Please support him and his wonderful organization and I promise you won’t regret it.
