Tour de Kili 2021 Edition
One Bike is delighted to announce the start of registration for the Tour de Kili 2021 races.
Following a successful event last year, we are pleased to continue Kilimanjaro’s premier cycling event.
We welcome back all the cyclists from last year’s event and are excited for new cyclists who will ride on the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro with us this year.
The Tour de Kili is more than a cycling race, it is a fun coming together of energetic and inspiring people. Tour de Kili will take you to some of the best kept secrets of Kilimanjaro. The beautiful scenery and wildlife are a true reward for the at times challenging routes.
We will be introducing a new category for long distance cyclist this year. This category will start with the rest at Rongai and then circle back, covering about 300km around Mt Kilimanjaro in 5 days. If you are not a long-distancer then you will enjoy the 2-day 150km ride from Rongai to Moshi Town.
The event is open to all people from locals, travelers, institutions, groups, associations and tourist across the globe who seek to bounce back to adventurous life style after all the restrictions when the world was shut down due to pandemic.
The organization of the event is also well prepared to accommodate all the participants and of course to also put in place some procedures to follow for everyone attend in an attempt to reduce or minimize the risk of the spread of pandemic. We will also be in line with SOP’s (Standard operating procedures) set up by Tanzania tourism board so as to ensure that everyone is safe and enjoying the event.
Why joining 2021 Tour de Kili edition
Onebiketz.com strongly believes that every Women deserves an equal opportunity and right to bicycle transport access especially in remote areas. Your dedication to join tour de kili, training and fundraising for a ride will have a real impact on the community of women work and help us to keep on removing obstacles for those who really need it. Our fundraiser will start in 2021 Tour de Kili edition – and we look forward for it to be the cornerstone of our funding.
Female cycling is generally accepted and seen as a positive development that benefits the community. The WoW project seeks to elevate women who are active and contributing members of the society by investing in them with this empowering tool. WoW (Women On Wheels) is a woman-focused part of One Bike’s larger One Bike Mobility project that donates bicycles to students, and men and women who live in remote areas. WoW aims to provide one-speed bicycles to a new group of women entrepreneurs, workers and females students, and make bicycle repair services available in their locations by training female mechanics.
This is also an opportunity to retreat and open up to the world that some of us has long been missing like getting close to the nature and enjoy the fresh air while riding your bicycle to keep you physically fit.
Tour de kili registration is still going on and the good news is early birds can get up to 30% discount on price.
